Cefprozil Drug Information

Available by prescription only, cefprozil (Cefzil®) is a type of antibiotic approved to treat various types of bacterial infections, including ear infections, strep throat, and sinus infections, just to name a few.
 
This antibiotic comes as a tablet or an oral suspension (liquid), and is usually taken once or twice a day. It is approved for use in adults and children as young as six months old. Side effects are possible and may include nausea, diarrhea, and a rash.
