What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose?

If you forget to take a dose of cefdinir, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your normal dosing schedule. Never take a double dose!
 

Who Makes Cefdinir?

Brand-name Omnicef is manufactured by Abbott Laboratories, while generic cefdinir is made by several manufacturers (see Generic Omnicef).
 

Strengths of Cefdinir

Cefdinir comes in a number of strengths, depending on the form. Cefdinir capsules are supplied as cefdinir 300 mg. For cefdinir suspension, there are two strengths:
 
  • 125 mg/5 ml (each teaspoon containing 125 mg of cefdinir)
  • 250 mg/5 ml (each teaspoon containing 250 mg).
