ciprofloxacin) is a medication often prescribed for treating various bacterial infections. Although most people tolerate this antibiotic well, it is possible to develop side effects while taking it. Some of the most commonly reported reactions with Cipro include:
In most cases, side effects such as these are minor and easily treated. However, you should notify your healthcare provider right away if you develop serious reactions while taking Cipro, such as hallucinations, difficulty breathing, or yellowing of the whites of the eyes or skin (jaundice).
Also, to help avoid any potential drug interactions with Cipro, tell your healthcare provider about any other medications you are taking, including nonprescription medicines, herbal supplements, and vitamins.
