Cipro® (ciprofloxacin) is a medication approved to treat a number of bacterial infections, including pneumonia, sinus infections, and bladder infections. It works by interfering with bacteria's ability to multiply. Cipro is available by prescription only and comes in the form of tablets, an oral liquid suspension, and an intravenous (IV) solution. It is typically taken twice daily. Potential side effects include vomiting, nausea, and diarrhea.
