Bacteria Home > Cefdinir
Cefdinir is often prescribed to treat common bacterial infections, such as middle ear infections, sinus infections, tonsillitis, and bronchitis. The medication is part of a class of drugs called cephalosporins. It works by preventing bacteria from making and maintaining their cell wall (which they need to survive). Cefdinir is available in capsule or liquid form, and is generally taken once or twice a day.
