As with many other medications, Cipro® (ciprofloxacin) can cause negative reactions. For example, central nervous system problems and neurological side effects have been reported with Cipro use, even after just one dose. Some of these problems can include:
 
 
People who have certain medical conditions, such as epilepsy, cerebral arteriosclerosis, or kidney disease, may have an increased risk for these neurological side effects. Let your healthcare provider know if you have any of these conditions.
