Bacteria Home > Norfloxacin Dosage
If you have gonorrhea, prostatitis, or a urinary tract infection, your healthcare provider may prescribe norfloxacin. Your dosage of this medication will depend on the type of infection being treated and your kidney function. Even if you feel better after a few days, finish the entire course of the antibiotic so that your infection does not return.
An Introduction to Your Dosage of NorfloxacinThe dose of norfloxacin (Noroxin®) your healthcare provider recommends will depend on a number of factors, including:
- The type and severity of the infection being treated
- How well your kidneys function.
As is always the case, do not adjust your dosage unless your healthcare provider specifically tells you to do so.
Make sure to follow your healthcare provider's instructions carefully and to finish the entire course of norfloxacin, even if you start to feel better. Stopping this medication too soon could cause your infection to come back or lead to the development of antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
