Ofloxacin is a prescription antibiotic that belongs to a group of medications called fluoroquinolones, or "quinolones" for short. It is an active ingredient in several different prescription products and is used to treat a variety of infections. Ofloxacin is available as a tablet, an otic solution for the ear, and an ophthalmic solution for the eye.
Are There Side Effects?
Just like any medicine, ofloxacin can cause side effects.

- Diarrhea
- Vaginal yeast infection and itching
- Ear discomfort and itching when using the ear drops
- Eye burning, stinging, redness, or discomfort when using the eye drops.
