What Is Ofloxacin?

Ofloxacin is used for the treatment of several different bacterial infections, such as pelvic inflammatory disease, pneumonia, bronchitis, and skin infections. It is available as oral tablets, ear drops, and eye drops. The amount your healthcare prescribes will depend on several factors, including:

  • The condition being treated
  • The severity of your infection
  • The particular ofloxacin product.
  •
It is important to follow your healthcare provider's instructions carefully when taking this drug. Stopping ofloxacin too soon could cause your infection to return or could lead to antibacterial resistance.
