An overdose with rifampin can cause a variety of potentially dangerous and life-threatening symptoms. Seek immediate medical attention if you may have taken too much of this or any other medication.

Storage Information

Rifampin capsules should be stored at room temperature, in a tightly closed container, and away from excessive heat. Keep the capsules in a dry area.
Rifampin injection will be stored by your healthcare provider. It is stored at room temperature, protected from light and excessive heat.
Keep this and all other medications out of the reach of children and pets.

What If I Miss a Dose of Rifampin?

It is very important to try not to miss any doses of this medication. If you do happen to forget a dose, take the missed dose as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for your next dose. In that case, skip the missed dose and continue with your normal dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose.
