Who Should Not Take Sumycin?
You should not take Sumycin if:
- You are allergic to Sumycin or tetracycline, all related medications (such as doxycycline or minocycline), or any inactive ingredients used in making Sumycin. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients in Sumycin.
- You are treating a child less than eight years of age (except in extreme and necessary cases).
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You have liver failure or disease.
- You have kidney failure or disease.
People who take too much Sumycin may have overdose symptoms that could include:
If you happen to overdose on Sumycin, seek medical attention immediately.
Sumycin should be stored at room temperature and be kept protected from light, moisture, and excessive heat.
Keep Sumycin and all medications out of the reach of children.
Sumycin: What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose?
If you do not take your Sumycin as scheduled, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for your next scheduled dose. If it is almost time for your next scheduled dose, skip the dose you forgot and take your next dose instead. Never take a double dose!
